Babygrande Records is pleased to announce the signing of the legendary hip-hop group, Brand Nubian. Lord Jamar, Grand Puba and Sadat X are currently in the studio working on their fifth album which will be released by Babygrande sometime next year. "All of Brand Nubian’s albums are timeless works of art and their newest work continues in that tradition," says Chuck Wilson of Babygrande. Babygrande will also look to release solo albums with each of the member, starting with Lord Jamar in early 2005.

Babygrande will celebrate the signing of Brand Nubian and the release of Jean Grae’s new release "The Bootleg of the Bootleg EP" in New York City at SOB’s on Tuesday November 18th where both artists will be performing (for more info log on to www.sobs.com).

With Canibus’ Rip the Jacker album having surpassed sales of 40,000 units worldwide, Babygrande is pleased to announce the release of the second 12" single, Indibisible The b-side of the single features the track No Return. Look for this to hit stores in December.

As a part of Babygrande's continuing effort to bridge the US and Japanese hip-hop communities, we have recruited one of Japan's hottest producers, DJ Hazu, to remix the tracks Indibisible and No Return. This LIMITED EDITION 12" will only be released in Japan. Limited copies will be available in the US on an import only basis.

While the Mountain Brothers have been somewhat quiet since their debut album, they have been busy at work putting the finishing touches on their sophomore album, Triple Crown. babygrande is pleased to announce the signing of this Philadelphia based duo. MC's Planet and Crypt, friends since childhood, have been paying dues for years in Philly's underground scene. They linked up with Superegular Recordings to release several underground bangers and were regular guests on other Superegular releases including Jedi Mind Tricks' Violent by Design.

Recently, they have been putting in work and honing their craft at Jazzy Jeff's A Touch of Jazz Studios working with DJ Sat-One, Baby Blak, Chief Kamachi and others. Look out for babygrande to release their first single (produced by 7L and DJ SAT-ONE) and their forthcoming EP, Blood + Ashes all Executive Produced by Jedi Mind Tricks' Vinnie Paz.

babygrande is pleased to announce an epic collaboration project between Canibus (MC) and Jedi Mind Tricks' producer, Stoupe The Enemy of Mankind (Producer).

The concept album entitled, Rip the Jacker featuring The Enemy of Mankind will be produced in its entirety by Stoupe and be laced with "The most vicious battle-raps ever recorded." Already half completed, the project is set to be released next spring. Stoupe will finish the album while his JMT partner, Vinnie Paz completes his work on the forthcoming Army of the Pharaohs EP.

Ishmael Butler, also known as Butterfly from Digable Planets, has finished recording and mixing Cherrywine's debut album. Ish is back in Seattle where he and the band are perfecting the live show for a tour in connection with the album release later this year.
